What is this?

Custom Domain lets you replace the default link domain in all your Chatarmin template URLs with your own branded subdomain. Instead of a generic URL, recipients see something like yourshop.rdrct.li — your name, on every link you send. Every Chatarmin account can create one custom subdomain at no extra cost.

⚙️ How to set it up

  1. Go to Account in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Templates (the tab marked “New”) in the Account settings menu.
  3. In the Custom Domain section, enter a Subdomain (for example myshop). The page shows the full address as myshop.rdrct.li.
  4. Click Create Subdomain.
Chatarmin starts provisioning the domain right away. Setup usually takes a few minutes; you receive an email when the domain is live. Until then, template links keep using the default rdrct.li domain. Once active, Chatarmin applies your custom domain to all template URLs automatically. You do not need to update any individual template.

When to use Custom Domain

  • You send template links regularly and want every URL to carry your brand name.
  • You want recipients to recognise your sender identity before they tap a link.
  • You track link performance and want branded URLs in your reports.

When NOT to use Custom Domain

  • You’re still finalising your brand identity. Configure the domain once your branding is stable — changing it later affects all existing template URLs at once.
Good to know: Custom Domain applies to all your template URLs. There is no per-template toggle. Once your subdomain is active, it takes effect across the board. To change the subdomain after creation, contact support.
If support switches your custom domain off, links fall back to rdrct.li. Contact support to turn your branded domain on again. You’re all set and good to go!
